Artist's Comments

November 1942, Stalingrad.

„I just can’t understand why …“
He looked up to the burning sky, gasping the smoke-filled air. Why had he to stay at a place like this again? He tried to remember, but couldn’t find the answer anymore. All he still knew was, that this trip had changed to a great disadvantage, his leader has fallen and that he needed to get something to eat soon …

When I think about the WW II. I’m always overwhelmed with thoughts and had to commit them to paper. What can I say else? I don’t really know. I can’t find the right words for it … It always makes me feeling stange, but for me, it's the most interesting period in history.

This time, I'd love to read your opinion! :)

Thank you so much for the DD you two!

When sky turns red by *BlueHunter "The details on this picture simply amaze me. We often forget the important role of dogs during the war... but this artist greatly managed to show the distress and wondering of the German shepherd through a subject who affects us all, the WWII." WOW!!

Memories... are nothing. They fade, until they vanish. Still... why do we want to have memories. Memories of a beloved person, memories of beautiful things. Beautiful, but awful at the same time. Memories are just there, to hold on something...
